Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 August 2026. This policy covers kratomplants.org. It describes what the site actually does, which is less than most privacy policies describe: we run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no visitor tracking.

What we collect

Information you send us. If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, the topic you select and your message. If you join the mailing list we receive your email address. These are delivered to us by email and are not stored in a database on this website.

Server logs. Our host records standard web server logs — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time — for security and troubleshooting. We do not use these to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

What we do not collect. This site runs no analytics platform, no advertising or social media pixels, no session recording and no fingerprinting. Browsing the site does not set cookies. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not run behavioural advertising.

How we use it

We use what you send only to reply to you, to verify and correct information on the site, and — if you asked to join the list — to send occasional updates. We do not use it for anything else and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.

Who else is involved

  • Our host operates the servers this site runs on and processes the server logs described above.
  • Our email provider carries the messages you send through the forms.
  • Sites we link to. We link out to kratom vendors, government and legislature sources, and research. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site under their privacy policy, not ours.

Affiliate links

A small number of outbound vendor links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy after following one. This never changes what we write. Vendor listings and ratings are not for sale, and a vendor cannot pay to be listed, rated higher, or have criticism removed.

How long we keep it

Messages are kept in our email for as long as they are useful for the correction or enquiry they relate to, then deleted. Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you those rights plus the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you rights of access and deletion and the right not to be discriminated against for using them — note that we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.

To exercise any of these, use the contact form and choose “Privacy or data request”. We will respond within one month.

Children

This site covers a substance that is age-restricted in many jurisdictions and banned in others. It is not intended for under-18s, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything that changes what is collected — analytics, for example — we will update this page and change the date at the top before it goes live.
