You will encounter “Not for Human Consumption” labels on many kratom products, particularly those sold online or in smoke shops. The presence of this label does not necessarily indicate low quality, some reputable vendors use it as a legal precaution while maintaining rigorous testing and quality standards behind the scenes.

That said, NFHC-labeled products are not subject to the same regulatory oversight as products explicitly sold for consumption. This makes independent third-party testing, vendor reputation, and certifications like the AKA GMP qualification even more important when evaluating these products.
